Are you in White Plains, NY looking for where to eat? White Plains, NY is a small city located just north of NYC. I’ll have to admit, I didn’t realize how much I would love this little city that is located about an hour outside of the big apple! Located in Westchester County, this place is absolutely a gem! It gives a great New York City vibe, but not as busy and without all the hustle and bustle.
Fast forward to my foodie recommendation: Lily’s. This establishment was absolutely phenomenal. The ambiance, food, service – AMAZING. As I was looking where to eat, I stumbled upon this restaurant by walking around during a city carnival. Thankfully I did because the menu had a variety of options for individuals with either vegetarian or pescatarian foodies.
Upon entering, the ambiance is very European and timeless. From the small chandeliers hanging to the red booths, the decor at Lily’s was beautiful.
In addition, there is an option to sit inside or outside, but I chose to sit at the bar. After reviewing the menu, I settled on the truffle pizza with mushrooms and Brussel sprouts. & Let’s just say that neither disappointed.
I started off with the Brussel sprouts because it had an interesting twist with the caesar dressing. It put me in the mind of a caesar salad, but fried or oven-baked. It was almost as if I was eating a hot salad which was different, yet phenomenal. The chef was an absolute genius for curating this dish.
In addition, the pizza itself was cooked in a wood fire with truffle oil with roasted herbs and garlic. Usually, I put parmesan cheese on my pizza, but this dish didn’t require any additives. I can say this this place will forever be one of my favorite foodie recommendations.
