Whewwww! Where did I begin?! I’m not a FL person at ALL (no hate lmao) but I usually avoid the state. But here I was, on a business trip, having the time of my life and eating fresh seafood! Let’s get to it, my foodie recommendation: Palm Beach, FL
To give you a tiny bit of background information on Palm Beach, FL, it is way different than Miami or Tampa, FL in my opinion. Think of Palm Beach as the suburbs (essentially what it is) of Miami, but with mulahh if you catch what I’m putting down. Overall, I had a good time there and glad that I went on this trip.
Benny’s On the Beach
Fast forward to my foodie recommendation: Benny’s. I was trying to figure out what I’d eat, so I googled and stumbled upon this place. I must warn you, it is very much a hole in the river (get it? aka “hole in the wall” lol *corny*), but the pictures online had me SOLD. I went during Spring Break so it was packed, but I secured a seat at the bar. There wasn’t much to the ambiance given the establishment was essentially on a pier and a little outdated.
I settled on a drink recommendation from the bartender. Apparently it is called the hurricane because it had so many liquors lol. In addition, it had a test tube of dark rum that is included in the drink so you may pour a floater.
The second drink option I settled on was a watermelon mojito. & whewwwwwww was it good!
Now let’s get right to business: foodie recommendation. I ordered gnocchi and blackened seared scallops. The presentation of this food was absolutely marvelous! It came topped with arugula. Bare with me as the video is a bit dark…
Now if you’re in the Lake Worth, FL area, I recommend you visiting this place. For more details on this foodie recommendation, please visit Benny’s On The Pier for their full menu.
Polpo Palm Beach
This next foodie recommendation is a bit on the pricey side, but I definitely recommend it! Polpo is located in Eau De Palm Resort. If you’re ever looking for a place to visit, I RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. Anywho, Polpo has seating inside and outside. I sat outside to capture this beautiful photo of course.
Let’s talk about it foodies! I order the crab benedict with potatoes (sprinkled with parmesan).
