Sea bass can be a bit intimidating, but it is nothing of the sort. Achieving this flavorful chilean sea bass recipe is extremely easy!
Let’s get started!
01 Remove excess moisture
02 Sea Bass temperature
03 Preffered cooking pans
04 Use fresh herbs
05 Basting the sea bass
06 Stove top vs. oven
01
Using a paper towel, pat fish to dry to remove moisture. This will achieve a nice sear.
02
It's best to make sure the fish is not too cold. By removing from the refrigerator, you would need to thaw from the cold for at least 10-15 minutes.
03
Using the right pan will naturally give the sea bass a nice outside sear. Use a non-stick pan or cast iron skillet.
04
Make sure to use fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary to create a nice hormonious flavor with the butter and lemons.
05
Baste the sea bass with the lemon herb butter sauce on each side. This ensures the flavor is cooked into the sea bass evenly.
06
Follow the instructions on cooking times. Cook on the stovetop to achieve the nice sear and transfer into the oven to cook thoroughly.
