Although I try to avoid visiting Texas like the plague, I am genuinely intrigued by the food scene there. I hear so many residents say the food isn’t good, but I found a few gems as I was lurking around the city 👀. If you will be visiting or even a local resident trying to scope out the food scene or just looking where to eat in Dallas, TX, I encourage you keep reading my foodie recommendation: Dallas, TX edition.
Salsa Limon – Authentic Tacos
If you’re ever craving tacos and not sure where to go, please visit Salsa Limon for tacos! This establishment makes their tacos from scratch and it is too GOOD. Although there are no pescatarian options, the vegetarian taco I had was just as good. The tortilla itself was amazing alone as it melted with cheese. I added avocado since I didn’t have meat, but the taco had pickled cabbage and black beans that paired so well. Not to mention, there is a choice of rice and refried beans too. For more info on their menu, visit Salsa Limon.
The Rustic – Southern Style cuisine
The Rustic is very Texas southern in my opinion. If you’re looking for modern, yet southern cuisine, this place is a must try. The ambiance is much a picnic in the park both inside and outside.
Yardbird Restaurant
Located in downtown, Yardbird is in walking distance of most hotels in the area. The interior is nice and great if you’re trying to impress guests. I found the restaurant menu to be more typical or everyday food. However, the food was delicious. To view the restaurant locations and menu, you can visit Yardbird.
Overall, Dallas, TX passed the vibe check with the food scene. I’m not sure why so many people think there aren’t good food options, but I’m guessing they just don’t know where to eat in Dallas. Please use this Foodie Recommendation: Dallas, TX for your next trip!
